Love in Storybooks

A finished quilt!  This is Love in Storybooks, a collaborative quilting bee creation made with Love Circle of do. Good Stitches.

The inspiration for this project was Ayumi's quilt in Patchwork Please.  My bee mates sent me book blocks, which I assembled with Night Pickers fabrics, a custom bundle from Cottoneer.

Don't you think the strawberries made the dearest cornerstones?

On the back, I used more Night Pickers fabrics to frame additional book blocks, plus a large cut of a new Cotton + Steel print called Freshly Picked Sky.  I love this for backing a child's quilt!  It's so dreamy.

I quilted this baby quilt on my longarm machine with our Orange Leaf quilting design.

The texture really shows off in this shot, with the bright beach sun enhancing the contrast.  I have to say, the texture feels fantastic, in addition to being quite pretty.

And she's bound with my signature zigzag stitch - easy, quick and secure!  Binding fabric is Terrance in Pink, on sale now at Cottoneer.

Now off it goes to Wrap Them in Love, where I hope some special little one will enjoy imagining the stories behind these pages or creating her own in the clouds, as they drift slowly by.

Thank you, Love circle mates, now and from all the years past, for many happy and meaningful projects made for love!

xo,

Rachel
