About Me

Hello there, and welcome!  I’m Rachel Hauser.  So glad you came to see what’s stitching.

All my life I've loved color, so it's my joy to design, sew and quilt along with you.  I share my heart here, about three days a week.   You'll find I'm always stitching something lively and launching quilt-alongs, fabric challenges and such at every turn.  My scrap-friendly quilt patterns pair well with my book, The Quilter’s Field Guide to Color: A Hands-On Workbook for Mastering Fabric Selection.

Do you live in Europe? My longarm quilting services are available by mail. I would be honored to quilt your projects in my home studio in The Netherlands, giving it all the love and attention to detail that is my standard.

If you love quilts and color, subscribe to Stitched in Color so that we can stay in touch.  And, please leave your comments – I’d really love to know you stopped by!  You can also find me on Instagram

If you want to use your stitching to benefit those in need, check out do. Good Stitches {a Charity Bee}.  It's a virtual quilting bee I founded that now has lots of sewing circles benefiting all kinds of great charities.

I’m mother of a little kid, two young adults and one deceased baby. These personal series share some of our life together:
