About Me

Hello there, and welcome!  I’m Rachel Hauser.  So glad you came to see what’s stitching.

All my life I've loved color, so it's my joy to design, sew and quilt along with you.  I share my heart here, about three days a week.   You'll find I'm always stitching something lively and launching quilt-alongs, fabric challenges and such at every turn.  I also teach original online courses, one of which has been published as The Quilter’s Field Guide to Color: A Hands-On Workbook for Mastering Fabric Selection.

Let me finish your quilt top with a delicious texture! My longarm quilting services are available by mail in the European Union. I'll quilt your special project in my home studio, giving it all the love and attention to detail that is my standard.

I sew patchwork on a Juki TL 2010Q.  I absolutely love my machine, which is non-computerized (i.e. very durable) and ideal for piecing and quilting.  You can read more about my Juki here

If you want to use your stitching to benefit those in need, check out do. Good Stitches {a Charity Bee}.  It's a virtual quilting bee I founded that now has lots of sewing circles benefiting all kinds of great charities.

I’m mother of two big kids, one toddler and one deceased baby.  Eleni's tragic story has touched many lives.  I invite you to walk along that journey on Eleni's Page.

Stitched in Color is a home business that has allowed me to make life-giving, independent choices for my family. We moved in 2019 to The Netherlands.  I feel incredibly blessed to be right here, right now trying to savor this wonderful life – sweet, beautiful and changing everyday!
