Take-along Slow Stitching

Guess what? Next Friday my family departs for two weeks in France! Eeee! I’m sure it’s going to be an amazing experience with lots of time spent swimming, walking, exploring and relaxing together. We are taking the train from our home in The Netherlands to southern France, via Amsterdam and Paris. Fortunately those high-speed trains are pretty efficient. Can you believe it’s just three hours by train from Amsterdam to Paris?!?! Still, that’s plenty of time for slow stitching.

I’m totally bringing along my Ice Cream Soda project! This is a hand sewn English paper piecing project that I began just prior to our move overseas, summer 2019. You can find the pattern and paper pieces at Tales of Cloth.

Every time I finish a block bundle, I stack the fabric pieces and pin them together. I’ll take along 6 block bundles on my trip. That should be more than enough to ward off idle hands. Fingers crossed that the mood is right for EPP progress during our vacation!
