it's another Rainbow Day

It’s not everyday that I get to sew. I know, isn’t that funny since this is my job? Ironically, my workday doesn’t always include patchwork, and I can honestly go weeks without sitting down behind my machine if I am busy with producing patterns and/or longarm quilting.

So, when my “work” includes cutting and piecing happy scrappy rainbows, I don’t take it for granted. No, not one bit.

I am adoring these pretties! They are foundation paper pieced kaleidoscope blocks, 6” finished. The block pattern can be found in my Penny Sampler pattern club library. Kaleidoscope became an element of my 2024 block-of-the-month quilt quite unintentionally. But I won't be using it in the traditional way.

This gives you a hint as to what is coming. At the moment I am making a scrappy rainbow kaleidoscope quilt, which will become one of the bonus quilt patterns in the 2024 pattern club. The real 2024 BOM design - that you have to wait a bit longer to see. I better get busy!
