Welcome, Nanno Creative!

I’m so excited to welcome a new sponsor today - a Dutch sponsor! Nanno Creative offers fresh, modern fabrics and a broad selection of great notions, all shipping from within the European Union. I can’t wait to give you the scoop! Stay tuned for a giveaway too.

I first heard of Nanno Creative not long after moving to The Netherlands, when I attended a meeting of a Dutch modern quilting club. The Nanno Creative shop is located in Druten, and shipping is free in The Netherlands for orders of €45! Shipping rates for countries throughout Europe are clearly designated here.

On their website, you can toggle between Dutch and English languages, using the flags at the upper left corner. If info is not showing in the English version of the website, toggle to Dutch. There’s usually more detailed descriptions there, fyi. They are adding more English translations regularly.

Nanno Creative has a ton of fabrics, so there’s no way I can cover it all. But here are some bundles to give you an idea.

Have you seen Nonna by Giucy Giuce? I love how it feels simultaneously fresh and throwback! Those colors are totally me.

Of course, Bright Eyes by Anna Maria Horner also catches my eye. The backing fabric from this collection is one of my all-time fave’s from Anna Maria. I really should make a plan to sew something special with it, before it’s too late.

Hmmm - - - I’ll put on my thinking cap. It seems like it belongs in my living room.

At Nanno Creative, you’ll find whimsical fabric collections like Aerial by Tamara Kate, as well as modern basics like Pietra. In fact, you can shop by basics, if that’s what you need.

Besides collection-based bundles, proprietress Rianne also creates curated bundles from time to time.

This is Butterfly Garden, a 12-piece fat quarter bundle from various designers and collections. Beautifully done!

There are lots more big names at Nanno Creative, like Tula Pink, Allison Glass, Libs Elliott and Ruby Star Society. But I was also impressed by the collection of quilt patterns and kits available to showcase these fabrics. Take a look:

Wondergarden quilt kits in Moth and Beetle, designed by Tamara Kate.

The Color Blast quilt kit, using Warp & Weft 2 from Modern Quilt Studio.

Plus, a whole selection of modern quilt patterns, like these.

I’ve sewn a Sew Kind of Wonderful pattern before, using one of their special curved rulers, and it went well. The Posh Snowball quilt actually requires two special rulers. Well, I’m tempted! And, I think that Elora would be ecstatic over this Happy Together pattern and it would look so adorable on a toddler bed. So fun! Ok, seems like I need more babies in my life to make more quilts!

One last thing - Notions!

Nanno Creative stocks a rather impressive selection of notions, including lots that I recommend in my courses and use all the time (Hera marker!). If you’re sewing Pas de Deux, you might be interested in Bigger Perfect Circles, spray starch, template plastic, Roxanne’s glue baste and fine sewing thread.
