Uncorked Giveaway

Come see, come see - I have a new fabric crush!

Earlier this month I happened upon this unusual new basic, created by Windham Fabrics. The Uncorked collection looks like colored cork, but it’s 100% cotton fabric with metallic accents.

Usually basics are stripes, dots, geometrics or florals. This basic has an organic, non-geometric vibe, but it’s not flowery. It’s vaguely striped, but more of a natural texture than anything else. I can imagine mixing it into pretty much any project, including something masculine or abstract.

And then I saw the colors. Yowsers! What a range. There are 24 in all, making a complete rainbow of color. Hmm… rainbow quilt anyone? Rainbow wheel? Or just a nicely well-balanced stash addition? I didn’t even want to resist.

I’ll be using Uncorked black yardage for my next quilt back. You can find the collection in stock now at Pineapple Fabrics. The rest of the colors are sure to show up in projects throughout 2019 and beyond!

If your stash could use a rainbow boost, you’ll be glad to hear that Windham is giving away a complete fat quarter set of Uncorked, to one lucky Stitched in Color reader. What perfect timing for the holidays! To enter to win, tell me what you might do with Uncorked. I love hearing your ideas!

Enter by adding your comment to this post, now through December 31st.

Good luck!
