Phew, I've finally started. I'm sewing a project for my next class. This one is all about scraps, and it's aimed at beginner to intermediate sewists, all the better if you don't have a "stash," but buy fabric on a project-by-project bases without a great system for organizing your leftover bits. Yes, this one's for you!
My friends and I have been throwing around names for the class after Tuesday night yoga. Scrap Revolution? From Bits to Piecings? Scrap Master? Scraptastic? The later it gets the sillier they sound, we sound. How about Mistress Resourceful's Extra-Material Affair? Bahahaha!
I promise not that one.
I started with the blue version, using scraps from my new blue quilt. The process of trimming little leftover cloths into perfect squares.... I adore it. So another version was born. With more colors. More scraps! Hurrah.
Of course, more class details to come. This online class will not register until August, with course dates in September and October. You know, back to school and the holiday-gift-sewing-rush? It'll be perfect for both.
