Brick House - the Quilt Pattern!

I am very excited to announce two finishes: the quilt aaaaaaand the pattern!

Brick House Baby Quilt

So, first the quilt...  As I shared before, cutting and stitching this design was so deliciously fast.  Once pieced, I took my time with finishing it, because I wanted to create a fun quilting design that would enhance the quilt, without being difficult or overly time consuming.  I'm not a quilting whizz myself, but I love all the texture and interest that straight-line quilting can bestow.  I'm delighted with the way things turned out:

Brick House Baby Quilt

It really is easy, peesy but super-cute quilting! The pattern creates X's over each brick without having to go to the trouble of doing a full-fledged grid over the entire quilt. With some planning, you don't have to start/stop too many times either.  And, happily, any not-so-straight lines are pretty well disguised in all those fun prints.  My quilt pattern includes detailed instructions and diagrams for this custom quilting design!  Yep, I've done the planning for you.  Yeah.

For the back, I thought a little row of bricks would be the perfect way to bring yardage up to the required width.  Simple, but sweet.

Brick House Quilt Back

I couldn't resist taking a shot of the quilt among the violets that gather under our pear tree.

Brick House finished!

It most definitely is SPRING here in South Carolina! Now where is the baby that's gonna take this quilt home? My Brick House certainly loves this weather and is dreaming of some quality tummy time. If you know of a baby that would adore this quilt, it is listed for sale in my new shop.

Or maybe you'd like to make your own?  Well, only if you have the required combination of butterflies, hedgehogs, lollipops and birdies...  Or, wait, I guess you can make it in your favorite fabrics.  Just so long as they make you smile!

easy peesy, but super cute quilting!

It's all wrapped up and tied with a bow - the quilt pattern, that is!  Somehow, I miraculously worked out all the kinks so that you can seamlessly purchase my 10-page downloadable PDF pattern and it'll be delivered to your mailbox after payment!  You can find the full pattern description at my shop.

Brick House love.

Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you for your encouragement! I feel so blessed to have your support, feedback and inspiring friendships. I hope you'll enjoy Brick House!
