Beauty Everywhere

Color, pattern, shape - it surrounds us. Beauty is strong and strength is beautiful. Take time to appreciate the beauty in your life today.

That last shot was taken after the cat had her fun with my neatly ordered blocks. And still, it’s beautiful, at least in my eyes. In fact there is something about vibrant colors and neat shapes in disorder that can be perfectly delightful. Perhaps it’s all a frame of mind.

I’m enjoying the beautiful process of sewing my second Teeter Totter quilt. The palette is much like the first Teeter Totter, but without the ombre background. Also, my first version was a scrap quilt; whereas, this new one is from stash, using 17 prints as per the pattern. Of course, I’m already thinking ahead to what colors I might choose when I sew-along with you all in May. I am leaning toward an ombre background again!

Interested in sewing-along with us? This is a beginner-friendly pattern and goes together quickly. You can sew it from fat quarters from your stash, plus background yardage. Or, if you have a pile of triangle scraps squirreled away somewhere, this is the pattern you have been waiting (coming April 17th). Sign up here for the sew-along newsletter, to stay in the know.
