Penny Patch: Sewing Blocks

I was originally going to make two Penny Patch quilts for our quilt-along.  But... my fabric for the throw quilt still has not arrived (it may not be available  yet), so I think I'm going to take it easy now and just make the one purple and yellow baby quilt.  I do love how it's coming together, so this scratches the "itch" for me!

Over these three middle weeks in November I encourage you to sew away at your 4-penny patch blocks.  You'll need 32 for a baby quilt, 60 for a throw quilt and 84 for the twin.  More details here.  I like to work in color groups, so I started with my color A (yellow) and some simple neutral, low volume blocks.
