Evening Ember: a mosaic contest

Slow down a minute, my friend, and ponder with me in color.

In January so much seems possible. The new year spreads out before us like an vast canvas, creating space to push the boundaries of our mind. Let’s capture that feeling just a little bit longer, sheltering our dreams like sparks in the night.

moon dream art, turkey feathers, rug

Evening Ember is a creative space where fire light meets darkest dark. Our fears entwine with our hopes. Burnished copper and fiery orange burst forth from the inky sky. In a hollow of true blue, the light shines - a beacon in the night.

Mysterious. Deep, dark, endless. Brilliant. Precious and still.

Urban Outfitters, Teddy + Wool macrame, fire, tangerines

In the cold and quiet, our dreams nurture us. They create a cozy cocoon that warms our hearts while we wait for warmer days. Like the tangerine’s tangy sweetness set against winter’s fruit doldrums, bold orange meets blue, black and gray with energy. So nice. Somehow both refreshing and harmonious, like it was always meant to be so.

Some Evening Embers are gentle - the pale gold tones and soft gray-blues - and some are powerfully dynamic - the fiery red-oranges, cobalts and velvety blacks. But all hold the promise of a catalyst. Dreams drive us, transform us, enable us. They are the first step toward a bright new reality.
