Love in go Anywhere Stripes

I just adore this weather!  The trees are dripping with color, the leaves are fluttering down all day in the forests around our house and the sun is shining still!

I was so glad to finish and photograph go Anywhere Stripes this weekend.  Thanks to the ladies in my quilting bee, who worked together to make these blocks (tutorial here), the quilt came out just as I had hoped.  Fractured, stripey and very, very bold.

With my machine back in town, quilting was quick and easy.  After washing and machine drying, it has a nice fluffy texture.

I decided to keep the quilt a manageable child-size (48" x 60") by saving 3 blocks for the back.  Don't you love it?  Wow, I do!  Sometimes the back comes together like a happy surprise.

The "background" fabric surrounding my blocks on the back are two Plaid & Dots prints by Denyse Schmidt.  Total fabric serendipity because the colors and mood matched this quilt so well!

I'll be mailing this quilt to Wrap Them in Love courtesy of the Love circle a part of do. Good Stitches.  Sewing with you ladies is such a pleasure.  Thanks for being such a great group!
