Celebrate Color {September Prizes}

Have you made concrete plans for any fall-inspired creations?  I have, I have!  Today I'm spending the holiday getting to the fun part of a project I'll be sharing this week.  Yippee!  If you're creative juices aren't flowing already, maybe a glance at some prizes will do the trick.  So, without further ado...

Each month at Celebrate Color we'll have 2 winners in each of the 4 categories:  Fabric {Home Decor}, Fabric {Wearables}, Yarn and Needlepoint.  That's a total of 8 winners each month.  Hold onto your hats people!

Fabric {Home Decor}

1st place:  Kona Hot Spice Bundl e.  That's 21 solid fat quarters ranging from rose to coral for 5.25 yards total of fall's most flashy shade.  See all the lovely colors in the bundle here.  Donated by the generous folks at Robert Kaufman, who are giving a Kona bundle for every month of Celebrate Color!

Plus, the first place winner also receives a fat quarter bundle of Heirloom by Joel Dewberry - the whole collection!  39 fat quarters in all for 9 3/4 yards of fabric.  WOW!  When I think of fall, Heirloom immediately comes to mind with all those saturated reds and plums.  Sew Love Fabrics is gifting this rather drool-worthy prize.  Don't I wish I was in the running!

2nd place:  The Ruby fat quarter bundle from Heirloom by Joel Dewberry.  13 fat quarters in all for 3 1/4 yards of fabric.  This happens to be my favorite colorway!  Also donated by Ruth of Sew Love Fabrics.  Thanks, Ruth!

Fabric {Wearables}

1st place:  4 yards of your choice in Amy Butlers new Soul Blossom releases.  Winner can choose from Amy Butler's Soul Blossom Voile, Organic Cotton, Rayon or Corduroy fabrics, arriving this September at Whipstitch (or $60 Whipstitch store credit).  Miss Butler's inspiration photos are just incredible!  When I asked Deborah what an apparel sewist like herself would really love to win, these gorgeous new fabrics were an inspired answer.

Plus, the first place winner also takes home 4 sewing patterns from Joel Dewberry's new pattern line Eclectic Modern.  Choose your favorite 4!  Naturally, Joel's patterns are perfectly suited to his fabrics and I really do like them all.  I am especially fond of that hobo bag though - so delicious in the citrine colorway!

2nd place:  2 yards of your choice in Amy Butlers new Soul Blossom releases.  Winner can choose from Amy Butler's Soul Blossom Voile, Organic Cotton, Rayon or Corduroy fabrics, arriving this September at Whipstitch (or $30 Whipstitch store credit).  2 yards would be just right for a funky corduroy messenger bag or maybe a skirt made with...

Yarn

1st place: 3 skeins of fingering silky merino by Sundara Yarn!  These gloriously soft, hand dyed yarns are 50% silk and 50% merino wool.  Your choice of three luxurious skeins - quite a valuable prize.  Sundara's radiant colorways have lovely depth.  Here are a few of my favorites:

A special thanks goes out to Shannon of LuvintheMommyhood for sourcing our Yarn prizes for September, October and November!

Needlepoint

1st place:  Have you seen the adorable Penguin & Fish Alphabet Animals?  I fell in love at first sight awhile back, and am looking forward to making a baby or toddler gift from their sweet, yet modern embroidery patterns.  Our first place winner gets the complete 26 piece set by Penguins & Fish!  I love these patterns used without the letters too, just to showcase the cute, cute animals.  See some project examples here.

2nd place:  And second place wins your choice of 5 Penguin & Fish Alphabet Animals, plus your favorite hoop wall art kit, which includes everything you need to complete the project.  Actually, one of these hoops would make a great gift for my Aria's upcoming birthday!

If you missed it, see the main Celebrate Color page to get the scoop on all the fun!

Every single one of these prizes is being freely given to the fiber arts community by individuals who have chosen to support our event.  I am so appreciative of each of these companies for their support of Celebrate Color!
