Shelburne Falls Contest!

At QuiltCon Denyse Schmidt's new collection for Freespirit was everywhere.  Seeing them in person, I knew even more so that I would love using Shelburne Fall's small scale versatile prints, which came in such great colors, some with a distinct vintage charm.

And from the sound of it, you feel the same way!

Soo... let's have a new contest!  Fabricworm is backing us with a Fat Quarter set of the complete Shelburne Falls collection for the winner.  That's a total of 30 Fat Quarters!

To join in, make something - anything! - using 1 or more prints from Shelburne Falls by Denyse Schmit, and enter your project photo into the pool at the bottom of this post by midnight (U.S. eastern time) Sunday, April 7th.

On Monday, April 8th I'll choose 3 Finalists whose projects stand out (in my ridiculously subjective opinion) for awesome use of their chosen Shelburne Falls fabric(s).  Then you'll help me out by voting for the actual winner from among the finalists.  Anyone can join in - blogger or not - from anywhere in the world.  You will need to load your photo somewhere online so that you can copy/paste the image url to add it to the photo pool.

into the unknown

I've loved mixing this collection with my scraps and old DS favorites.  I hope you find yourself inspired to make a project that feels like "you", taking your own spin on the colors and prints.  It's also that time of year when many of us get the itch to sew some spring clothes for the little ones.  Some of these prints would be perfect!

Projects don't have to be big and they don't have to use a lot of Shelburne Falls fabrics (just at least one).  You can mix in as many of your own prints/solids/whatever as you like!  You could even go without a sewing machine.  Just have fun with the fabric however it floats your boat!

Thanks, Fabricworm, for sponsoring our contest!
