Welcome, Jones & Vandermeer!

Ok friends, I have a new sponsor, and this one is special.  Their tagline, "100% Curious Goods" is no joke.  Browsing Jones & Vandermeer this morning I'm having trouble deciding where to begin my introductions.  There are so many gorgeous fabrics, buttons, ribbons, even yarns!  I do think you'll have to see for yourself. Think of this post as an ity bitty taste!

So, I suppose we should start with fabrics.  But which kinds?  Jones & Vandermeer stocks a thoughtfully edited array of many material types.  You can shop by material, choosing from flannel, knits, double gauze, voile, lawn, poplin, linen, and the list goes on!  Of course there's also our familiar quilting cottons. They have both new and old offerings from Cotton & Steel, and the delectable new Doe by Carolyn Friedlander.

You'll also find fabrics by Moda, Michael Miller, Cloud 9, Yuwa and many other familiar names.  Careful, it's easy to collect quite a cart because the folks at Jones & Vandermeer have a talent for curating special fabrics.

Here are some lovelies I'm lusting over...

Have you a hankering for Liberty?  Spring is coming and these flowers are the kind that stay perfectly sweet.  I found some of my very favorite Liberty prints in stock!

Or perhaps you're more of an Echino fan?

Or have you ever been tempted to try some Nan Iro?  I'd like to make a double gauze blanket for Eleni, only I can't choose between these amazing pieces of art.  What do you think Sen Ritsu or Water Window or Freedom Garden

Nano Iro double gauze options...

Jones & Vandermeer is not just fabrics, not by far.  In fact, if you are a yarn connoisseur, you'll be in heaven.  You'll find a collection of luxurious yarns, many hand dyed or hand spun, plus a selection of exclusives yarn offerings from around the world, " discovered by the intrepid explorers of Jones & Vandermeer in the early 21st century."

And then buttons.  And ribbons.  And purse frames.  And trims.  And all sorts of curious treasures.  Handmade ceramic buttons?  Little shell ducks?  How about a Liberty fan?  Oh my.

Well, we best finish our whirlwind tour while you still have some breath left in you!  Jones & Vandermeer would like to gift one lucky reader 3 yards of any Cotton & Steel regular quilting cotton/sheeting fabric!  Add your comment here to be in the running.  Giveaway open to U.S. addresses only and fabrics can be cut as small as 1/2 yard each.  Winner will be selected on Monday the 19th around noon, eastern time.  Good luck!

****Update for International Entries****  Jones & Vandermeer underestimated my international readership and would like to include all.  The giveaway is now open worldwide!  If an international reader wins, she will receive a $35 gift certificate to use as she pleases!
