making Sawtooth Stars

Sawtooth Stars on my table today.  Loving this red, red, red Kona Rich Red with all the colors of Anna Maria Horner.  Inspired by this quilt

  1. The rich red really adds depth to the quilt. I've not found a red which doesn't run/bleed. Did you prewash this one? I'll be interested to see if it's colourfast.

    1. Yes, I did prewash. Thankfully! I'll still use a color catcher when I wash this quilt. Will definitely share if any bleeding happens.

  3. I just finished a wonky stars table runner for our Christmas gift exchange. I love making stars. That red is a very beautiful shade of red.

  6. Oh I love this (loved Kelly's too) - such rich jewel tones. Can't wait to see more. I so need to buy some AMH .

    1. The project inspired me to order a few more AMH prints from Sew Love Fabrics. I can't help it - having more variety makes the quilt more interesting and I didn't have many dark prints on hand!
