gone quilting

gone quilting

gone quilting

My favorite time to finish up a quilt, to quilt it and bind it and relish that totally-finished feeling, is over a weekend.  When I think of the long, restful moments stretching in front of me on a Friday afternoon I want to hang a "gone quilting" sign like the "gone fishing" one my dad had out back.  It means, "I'm going to do something productive, meditative and oh-so-satisfying now.  Checking out folks."

See you on the other side!
