a Knotted Thread {giveaway}

Morning peeps!  Mmm... I can tell today is going to be a lovely day!  Let's start it with a giveaway, a giveaway with options.  My friend Jennifer, whom I first met in blogland and got to know through do. Good Stitches, now runs a modern fabric shop called Knotted Thread on Etsy.

This is Jennifer's first year with Knotted Thread, so she's excitedly building up stock and getting her feel for those crucial buying decisions.  Can you imagine buying for a shop with all the awesome designer fabrics available these days?  Well, I guess it's a little teeny bit like buying for a stash.  Only more pressure!

Here's where you and the giveaway come in.  Jennifer and I have picked out 3 fabric bundles that we particularly like.  How about you take a look and let us know which one you would most want to add to your stash and why?

Lush Uptown re-released from Moda, fat quarter bundle

Florence by Denyse Schmidt, fat quarter bundle

Hand Drawn Garden by Anna Maria Horner, half yard bundle

To enter the giveaway tell us which stack you'd purchase and why.  If Mr. Random picks your comment, it'll be yours!  (Be sure you're not a "no reply blogger" so that I can be in contact with you if you win, or just provide your email in the comments if you like.)

But wait!  What if none of these bundles are a good fit for your stash?  Well then, tell us which other bundle from Knotted Thread you prefer.  If you win you'll take home that preferred bundle in cuts no smaller than fat quarters with a value of $55 or less.

To thank you all for the helpful feedback, Jennifer is extending a 10% off coupon through midnight this Friday, the 30th.  Get 10% off your total fabric purchase using coupon STITCHEDINCOLOR10.  Cool.

Giveaway closes at noon (eastern time) on Friday the 30th.  Open to everyone, everywhere.  Good luck!

********Giveaway Closed**********  Our winner is #83 - Debbie Rogowski who's favorite bundle is Life in the Jungle!  I'll be in touch, Debbie.  Congrats!!

  1. I love the Florence bundle - the geometric prints are totally my style and would fit right into my stash :)

  2. I'd absolutely pick LUSH UPTOWN - I'm a sucker for oranges and cool tones these days, so that would be the perfect addition to my stash! Thanks to you and Jennifer for the great giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Lush Uptown! Because it is so completely unique, and I find the color palette very modern and refreshing. :)

    ReplyDelete
  4. I love the Florence bundle too...

    ReplyDelete
  5. Lush uptown! So unique and so many possibilities! Thanks for the great giveaway!

  7. I recently walked in to my LQS and fell in love with Florence by Denyse Schmidt. The colors and patterns just make me happy.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Absolutely Florence! After all it is named after me LOL !

    ReplyDelete
  9. I like the Hand Drawn Garden...or that rainbow bundle from V&Co!

    ReplyDelete
  10. While I love some of the prints in the Hand Drawn Floral prints, as a bundle it is too much for me -- I would want to use a couple of those prints as focus prints and have some blenders mixed in. I love getting a bundle that includes a couple of complimentary solid or blenders along with the a few special stunning prints. As a bundle that I would buy be able to use all of the fabrics, I think the Florence by Denyse Schmidt. Best of luck to Jennifer with the new shop!

  11. Hand drawn garden. I just love adding AMH fabrics into so many of my projects.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Definitely the Lush Uptown! I got a little of the bird fabric recently and regret I didn't buy more!

  15. Definitely Florence. It doesn't scream at me (in a bad way) like the other bundles do (big, loud, prints and colors). Plus it has smaller more versatile prints in the collection. Feels as though it would flow much easier with my stash and tastes.

  16. Oh wow, I’m such a Denyse Schmidt fan and the fabrics are so hard to find here, so I would love the Florence bundle. I’m always drawn to her fabrics because of the graphic prints and they go so well with others and can also be used as backgrounds. Well, you notice Rachel, I’m drooling over Florence!

But... after having taken a look in Jennifer’s shop Knotted Thread I’m smitten with PB&J by Basic Grey. Wow! Love at first sight!

Thanks for a chance to win some gorgeousness!

  17. I like them all, but I think the Florence would be my choice!

  34. Oh my goodness, what a fantastic giveaway! I'm going to go off the grid here and (though I love the bundles offered) say I'd really like to have the "1/2 yard bundle - low volume fabrics" because I don't have any low-volume fabrics in my stash. I'm still pretty new at this and most of the fabrics I have on hand are bright and busy. The low volume fabrics would help round out my selection of fabrics beautifully.

Thanks so much for such a great offer!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Florence. If I was just buying stash-builders and not stuff with a specific pattern in mind, Florence would be more versatile with my aesthetic.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Lush Uptown - I'm thrilled that it's been re-released. I have a small hoarded stash of the original fabric and never dreamed that I would be able to get more. I am dreaming of a quilt using this fabric. What a great give-away, thanks for the chance to win. achay23 at msn dot com

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hand Drawn Garden for sure! Thise prints are just so perfect for anything!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Even though I love Lush Uptown I would choose Florence because it would go so well with my FQ stack of Denyse Schmidt that I have been hoarding for a quilt that I keep all to myself. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Uptown Bundle would be my favorite because it covers my favorite season of Fall and has deer and a more manly feel which is very hard to come by in fabric. My Mr would like best.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I would pick Hand Drawn Garden. I love the other two as well, but the colors in AMH's fabrics always speak to me! Thanks for the giveaway :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. Even though I love Lush Uptown I would choose Florence because it would go so well with my yardage stack of Denyse Schmidt

  67. Hand Drawn Garden is beautiful! The colours are so stunning, it would make an amazing quilt.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I would pick Florence as I love the geometrics and the colors are right. With so many bundles, there are a few that I just don't like so I avoid buying that way, but Florence looks pretty complete to me.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I'm such a sucker for the Lush Uptown line!

    ReplyDelete
  70. I would pick Lush Uptown. I love the colors and it has some prints that are a different style from what I normally use, so it would be fun to experiment.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I love the Lush Uptown bundle. So glad it has been re released.
    thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  73. I would pick Florence. Love the colors, and finding prints that don't scream "feminine" are really hard to find. Lush uptown looks beautiful, but Florence is so versatile - perfect for stash.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Hand Drawn Garden. So summery. I've always been a floral girl.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I would have to say Florence. It is just such a lovely and versatile collection. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Oh Lush Uptown please. I'm thinking of redecorating the bedroom and this colour pallet is just what I was thinking off. The quilt would be the centerpiece.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Tough decision...but I'd go with Florence because the colors and geometrics coordinate well with my existing stash! :)

    ReplyDelete
  78. Difficult decision - they are all great! Will have to go with Denyse Schmidt - she is my favorite designer!

    ReplyDelete
  79. I had a hard time choosing between the Florence and the Lush Uptown since they are very similar color pallets.

I finally decided on Lush Uptown because of the patterns. I adore the idea of the Paint By Number, but it's the overall patterns ... and variety that won me over.

Thanks for a chance to win.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I would definitely pick the Lush Uptown...I love the quirky prints and the colors! I would probably use it to start a quilt for myself. :)

    ReplyDelete
  83. I have been eyeing the Hand Drawn Garden collection from AMH for a while now. I haven't found a project that they fit in, so I haven't bought them :( But if I had a whole bundle, I'd make a project just for them! They're so full of life and vigor, they make me smile :)

    ReplyDelete
  84. Anna Marie Horner... I am in love with her fabrics and have been dying to get some hand drawn. It is just so beautiful and vibrant.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I would definitely pic Florence. I love geometric prints, they are very versatile and fun, and easier to combine with other things than for example hand drawn (which for my taste is too clashy in terms of colours.. also too complex..)

    ReplyDelete
  86. I would go with the Florence bundle. I'm not a fan of big prints so these small geometric designs speak to me.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I would pick florence because it would "blend" with other fabrics in my stash the best.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I would purchase the Florence. The colors are bright and clear. I think they would go well with some solids. lisaursino@msn.com

    ReplyDelete
  100. I am drawn to Florence I see doing something creative with each and every piece and hopefully I will get the chance to create something soon.....Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  101. I would pick Florence. I have been in love with Denise's work since I first laid eyes on her quilts years ago. I love the vintage vibe.

    ReplyDelete
  102. I'd choose the Lush Uptown to coordinate with and augment the few pieces of vintage Lush I have been treasuring in my stash for the past few years. I have filled many a search bar with Moda Lush since then. Love this new/old line!

    ReplyDelete
  103. I love them all! But if I HAD to choose, I think I would choose the Anna Maria Horner bundle. Her fabrics are always so beautiful!

    ReplyDelete
  104. I would pick Hand Drawn Garden by Anna Maria Horner, half yard bundle. Because I love those colors and they would fit in with my projects that I have lined up to do.

    ReplyDelete
  105. i'd go with florence, which is surprising since i'm not usually a DS fan (unusual, i know!)... but if the pb&j bundle were under $55, i'd be all over that in an instant!!

    ReplyDelete
  106. Oh dear! Oh dear! Choosing only one bundle is *hard*! Although I love Florence's colours, I think I would choose the Lush Uptown one because I love the patterns.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I love Hand Drawn Garden. Florals are just so pretty.

    ReplyDelete
  108. deciding which bundle i would buy is easy, Lush, but why, that's a trick question. lol it look like it would blend nicely with other fabrics and the textures are great.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Hand Drawn Garden... I am "drawn" to her deep saturated colors and would love to incorporate some into my stash... if not that it would be the PB&J Bundle because of it's versitility and playfulness. Thanks for the giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  114. I'd love that Florence bundle - lots of great blenders in there, and love the colors.
    ourbusylittlebunch(at)hotmail(dot)com

    ReplyDelete
  115. I would pick hand drawn garden b/c i already have a ton of DS and lush uptown and it's a little outside my comfort zone. sometimes it's good to push yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Luv Lush Uptown! Thanks for the giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  117. Florence by Denyse Schmidt for me. The orange and teal are what do it for me. I have used a bunch and would love to restock the stash. Great giveaway.

  118. What a great giveaway. I think I would pick the Florence by Denyse Schmidt bundle I love the colors and prints and feel I could mix them with other prints a lot easier then the other bundles. Thanks for the chance to win.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I just found you through another blog and have very much enjoyed everything I've read so far. Thank you for the excellent tutorials as well.

As much as I love the versatile Uptown, my first choice is definitely the Hand Drawn Garden because of a new-to-me quilt pattern I want to make which would showcase the fabric perfectly.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Love the Lush Uptown color palette:)

    ReplyDelete
  121. Oh Hand Drawn Garden for sure! I love prints that have more than two or three colours in them at the moment. These fabrics have variety when you chop them up into small pieces so that appeals to me and the direction my quilts and projects are taking at the moment. I also love the Florence as there are some great basics/stash builders in there. Wonderful giveaway :) amycav at hotmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  133. The Florence bundle would be fine with me. Sometimes I'm on the fence with her lines but this one speaks to me- not sure what the difference it- the colors, variety of prints, I'm not sure.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Besides, I'd pick the Simply Style rainbow bundle.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I would have to say Lush! It seems like such a staple for everyones stash! Thanks for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  136. These are all great choices, yet I have been craving Bobbins & Bits by Pat Sloan for-ever!!! Thanks for such an awesome giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  137. I sure would take Lush uptown, thanks for this give-away

    ReplyDelete
  138. This is so difficult! The Lush Uptown colors are too warm, the Florence bundl too much orange and green and the Anna Maria Horner bundl maybe. But looking around in your Etsy store, I found the most magnificent colored fabric: The Mirror Ball Dots in Rainbow colors! Love it!!
    gingini(at)live(dot)nl

    ReplyDelete
  139. I love Happy go Lucky in the store, because I never got any when it first came out! Although I'd happily own any bundle in the store :)

    ReplyDelete
  140. Are you kidding? Any of them would be right at home in my stash :) But if I have to choose, I'd pick Lush Uptown because I missed out on it the first time around. And because of those woodgrains. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  141. Foe me it would have to be Denyse Schmidt's Florence. I love the vintage feel of the designs, the geometrics, the colours and the versatility of the fabrics.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Beautiful selection, and good luck with your store. I'm going to check it out with your generous coupon offer, thank you for that. I would like to try and go for Bundle #1, Lush Uptown, those are lovely fall colors I'd love the chance to try out.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Lush Uptown is beautiful and matches my livingroom decor colors...I can already picture projects using this line! That said, all 3 of the sets are beautiful and I would be happy to use them all!

    ReplyDelete
  144. I love the Riley Blake Neon brights, both the solids and the prints. I am so into bright colors these days, and my stash is all kind of muted (except for the Laurel Burch stuff)

    ReplyDelete
  145. I'd pick Hand Drawn Garden ~ Every time I see it, I'm just drawn to it (pun intended ;-)
That said, if I were looking to purchase fabric to build my stash (I typically purchase for a specific project, but I'm prone to overbuying, so I do have a tiny bit of a stash accumulated)I'd be far more likely to pick Simply Style.

    ReplyDelete
  146. I would love the Lush Uptown bundle. We just moved into a Heritage home and the fabric would be great to use for some accent pillows and table linens.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Florence! Love those small geo prints. Great color pallet, too! Thanks for the chance!

    ReplyDelete
  148. I kind of love them all, but I've been itching to get my hands on Florence! What a neat giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  149. all three speak to me and i would love to take them all home. but, of the 3 i would pick lush uptown. partly because i really love all of the fabrics in that line. (the other two, i love certain fabrics, but not all in the collection). i am also a big fan of the colors (esp. that orangey red). another reason i would choose lush uptown is that i missed it the first time around.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Lush for sure! I've been crushing on Lush since it first came out. I will have to get some soon!

    ReplyDelete
  151. I would choose Florence. I see lots of great basics in that bundle and lovely colors. They could be used in so many projects!

    ReplyDelete
  152. So many beautiful choices!!! But, I'm crazy for dots so I think the Rainbow 1/2yd Mirror Ball Dots would be my choice if I'm lucky enough to be chosen.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I would LOVE a FQ bundle of Joel Dewberry's Notting Hill. I recently made a dress for my daughter from this range and I'd love to make her more to match.

    ReplyDelete
  154. I would have to go for the Lush Uptown, it is so outside my comfort zone and that is my personal challenge this year.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I love the Florence bundle. I love DS prints, but I've never owned any. I am expecting baby #4 in December, and would LOVE to make him a quilt with these colors rather than pastels.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I would most certainly purchase the hand drawn garden. I can already see all my projects being made by these items.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Hands down, the AMH stack! I'm a sucker for her fabric. Maybe not when it first comes out but I still buy it anyway cuz I know I will absolutely "need" some before it runs out. A lot of shops around me Ohio, don't carry her fabrics and I don't know why. Maybe she needs to come out with something with some buckeyes to kick these northerners in gear!

  158. Well between the three, I would have a really hard time choosing lol! I never stashed any Happy Go Lucky so that might have to be the tie breaker. ;) Thanks for the chance to win! I love shopping with Jenn!

  160. They are all so gorgeous! I'm new to quilting and still a bit intimidated by all the color choices out there but I must say I do love the modern look of the Florence collection. So many wonderful designers makes it hard to choose just one. Wish Jennifer well with her shop.

  161. I'd do lush uptown. I'm more into blenders and geometrics than the flashy 'pick me!' fabrics.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Most definitely the Denise Schmidt Florence bundle, I have slowly fell in love with her geometric prints and the colors are so modern but with a nod to modern traditionalism.

  163. I would love love love to add the AMH Hand Drawn Garden 1/2 bundle to my stash. Actually, it wouldn't be in the stash for long because I already have a quilt picked out for that fabric. Anna's fabric colors and designs work so well with my personal aesthetic that I love everything she does.

  164. I'd definitely pick the Lush Uptown bundle. It's lovely!

    ReplyDelete
  165. I'd pick Florence - Denyse is so classic and versatile!

  166. Lush Uptown for sure! I love the green/blue so much that's what I painted in my studio.

  170. I would go for Mirror Balls dots by Michael Miller. Those colors are just awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  171. Oh, this is a hard one but if you're going to MAKE me choose, it would have to be
Florence by Denyse Schmidt. I love her style - little bit modern but still has a vintage feel. That's why I'd choose Florence! (And thanks for the chance!)

  172. PB&J would be great!
I want to make a quilt with those
colors. It would take me out of my
comfort zone. I usually make my
quilts bright! Thanks for the giveaway!

  173. I would buy Florence because the colors would be wonderful for my living room. If I didn't use if to make a throw for there, I would love to make a bag out of it just for me! :P

  174. I would jump for a chance at the bundle of Florence. I have been working on an idea for an all DS quilt and this would be ideal to join my other stashed DS in the end goal. Thanks for the giveaway chance to you and Jenn!

  175. I would choose the Notting hill aqua bundle. I am planning a quilt for my niece to take to college and that would be perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  176. I would buy the first bundle, Lush Uptown(what a name). I like that it just seems to run together or rather blend so well. Thank You for offering the give away.

  177. I would buy Hand drawn garden, because I am thinking of sewing new pillows and bails to our living room and this fabric seems to be perfect!

    ReplyDelete

  179. I would pick the hand drawn garden because I loved it the first time around... used it up and love that I can have it again!!! also love the vibrancy of Anna Maria Horner's prints

    ReplyDelete
  180. If I'm lucky ducky, I would pick Hand Drawn bundle. It's not the most important that Anna Maria Horner is one of my 3 favorite designers. It's not the most important that it's long waited reprint. The most important is that these fabrics are good 'investment' - it will match with future AMH collections (all fabrics designed by AMH always match to fabrics from previous collections) and it will brighten my home:)

  181. I would choose the Lush Uptown since it would work well with a significant project on my "to do" list.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Well, if I hadn't already bought my favorite pieces of Lush, that would be my choice. However, that Fat Eighth bundle of Sunnyside by Kate Spain is sure enticing....

    ReplyDelete
  183. My first choice is Lush Uptown, but I would choose both of the other bundles as a tie for second. They are all good choices. I have a small piece of Lush from the first collection--paint by number birds--that I would love to add to.

  188. So funny that we all love different fabrics. I personally love the hand drawn garden. The colors would be perfect for my daughter who is probably going to get a mom quilt soon. She deserves a little extra right now. Those times happen in the real world.

  190. What a great giveaway! I really like Florence, because of the reds and blues. I want to make a quilt and pillows for in our spare bedroom. My husband and I are in the process of getting licensed to become a fosterhome. The colors of the room will be red and aqua, since that will be okay for a boy or a girl. The FQ bundle Life in the Jungle would be perfect too.
