high volume

What's not to love about Ara Jane's assignment for the Love circle of do. Good stitches?  Make from scrap?  Check.  Improv element?  Check.  Lots of color?  Triple Check!

bright, clashy scraps

I tell ya, some people in this quilting circle make it look sooooo easy to come up with a good idea for a group quilt.  Sheeze.

do. Good FUN

So today I treated myself to this block-y mini vacation, making the uber bright and super fantastic 3/4 log cabins as called for this month in our charity bee.  The exuberance is perfectly delightful!  I'm so glad we had to use all-solids.  I have a bunch of great solids scraps from my many flings with Kona Bottled Rainbows bundles.  Color, color!

p.s. more clashy color goodness to come this week.  Stay tuned...

  6. I think these blocks are great because they are bright and, to my eye, resemble modular rainbows.

  8. I love these blocks. I've seen half log cabins, but have not seen 3-quarter log cabins. So cool!

  12. Oh come on now. I have so many other things in my brain, why do you have to distract me with this? I love solids and simple design. This suits me. We'll see how long I resist.
