whatever the name, I think it's glorious!

Just an hour ago, my parents held tight to the corners of their new queen quilt top as the wind did it's best to snatch her away. I thought the sun would be too harsh for photographs, but the stained glass effect is brilliant!

After all's said and done, I'll be calling this pattern "Sparklers" (thanks, Suzanne!). Sparklers for those little bursts of joy we used to dance around with on warm July nights. The word is perfectly nostalgic.
No, she won't be done by Christmas (we're waiting on backing... way to plan ahead, Rachel!), but at least I can share this much with them now.

Ingredients: Lots of Kona solids, a sprinkling of text and plenty of love.

This is glorious.... and I love the name, evokes many childhood memories! It looks amazing with the sunlight behind...reminscent of bojagi.
ReplyDeleteFabulous design and the colours all work so well.
