Made mostly from scraps in colors to match my girlfriend's new craft room. Photographed in the wee hours of the morning before we met up for a Charlotte road trip to the Ikea, Anthropologie, Cheesecake Factory... need I say more? Oh, and to get my sewing machine fixed.

Don't worry, we bought LOTS of great furniture for her craft room. Check, check. And, I somehow resisted buying a cool, retro highchair that I certainly don't need, but certainly want to need.

Three friends, three bags, three bars of chocolate. Gifting is off to a sweet start. Happy elving!

The bags are adorable. It is alway fun shopping with your friends. Glad to hear you had a good time.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to your sewing machine?
ReplyDeleteMy Pfaff Smarter has had tension troubles since summer. I only finally got over to Charlotte to fix it. He fixed it fast... but will it last?
DeleteI've made 5 of these bags now!! Just can't stop making them. They are so cute, useful, and easy to make.
ReplyDeleteLovely bags, I have got to make some of those! One problem, now I am scheming about giving away my tacky fisher price high chair and taking a ride over to ikea! Third baby on the way, at least, but not exactly a "need"!
ReplyDeleteI just made three of these tabs too-for gifts! I'm giving them to knitters, so I added a grommet for the yarn to be pulled through. I'm ridiculously excited to give them to my friends!
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful Rachel! Lovely idea to make them with patchwork blocks! x Teje
ReplyDeleteYou hit some of my favorite spots! Ikea with girlfriends has to be the best!
ReplyDeleteI just made three drawstring bags last night. All done except the drawstrings. I just used whole pieces of fabric. I did not get fancy like you did.
ReplyDeleteOh, the whole cloth versions are pretty too! I just wanted to use scraps. Scraps always feel so fun, but they do take awhile to work through =)
DeleteLove these bags. I found two more people to gift to, so now I have a reason to make some patchwork drawstring bags. I think we are going out to dinner tonight, I may just have to suggest Cheesecake Factory - yum!
ReplyDeleteI have that high chair (but don't need it anymore.) So sorry you want to need it but can't. :-(
ReplyDeleteI've made about eight of those bags - all for knitters. Yours are so pretty; I love the patchwork! And your photos are great - at night? With a flash? Who needs daylight?? Good job.
ReplyDeleteOh, goodness! I live in Charlotte and use the same Pfaff dealer and the same IKEA. What a small world. I love the bag by the way. (And he is super fast. I brought my Pfaff into him the other day and he made my head spin the way he moved so quickly...)
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty bags ~ love your color choices and I really love stars! You are such an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThose are such pretty drawstring bags! I confess I always think of drawstring bags as boring but you've changed my mind :)
ReplyDeleteI have some of these on the gift list.
