Celebrate Color {Yarn Roundup}

Today Emma of Emma Lamb fame is serving up some fiber inspiration for those of us who love to knit and crochet.  Emma has been browsing Etsy for indie yarn shops and pinning her favorite delicious yarns.  If buying a new skein is part of the way you'll be embracing fall, you won't want to miss this post.  If your favorite indie shop is not on the list, won't you share it with us in Emma's comments?

And, if you have pinky sworn not to buy a new skein, perhaps a quick look should be followed by a lengthy date with your yarn stash.  Don't come out until you've chosen a beautiful new beginning!

To be honest, the only skein of hand dyed yarn that's ever entered our home was carried in by little six-year-old hands.  Aria's red and blue skein was something she purchased all by herself at the farm festival last year.  She'll be learning to knit this November, so perhaps it'll come into its own rather soon!

P.S.  I also highly recommend Emma's post on autumn favorites.  What a pleasure it is to experience autumn through her eyes. I can get lost in the clever way she mixes more subtle colors to create such a lovely mood.  It's entirely "other" to my tendency to play up saturated colors, but I love it so!
