back to work

Are you following Travel Handmade?  It's a series with inspiration, pattern reviews and tutorials for making travel bags of all kinds and sizes put on by the organizers of The Sewing Summit

Make Up Roll pattern review

Today Erin Singleton reviewed my makeup roll pattern.  Isn't her makeup roll absolutely gorgeous?  She finished her version with pretty fabric ties and used such great fabrics.  I particularly heart the turquoise!

Oh, and there's a giveaway of my pattern on her blog as well.  So, be sure to go check it out!

So, I was going to talk to you about binding today.  But ya know, I'm not gonna.  Maybe this weekend or next week, but instead I'm spending my time on a few other things like organizing a new circle of do. Good Stitches (the 12th one!) to launch in September.

(Pssst.  Want to know what else?  The lion's share of my time is going towards putting some finishing touches on a new social event and contest to be announced next week.  Remember Blogger's Pillow Party?  Kind of like that, but not about pillows.  Or quilts.)

Ok, back to work!  We'll talk soon.

  1. I saw the review, and I do love Erin's version! I bought myself a FQ of the outer fabric she used recently. Super cute!

Good luck with your planning, Rachel!

  6. Rachel, I made your makeup roll and I use it every day, it's fabulous! I made terrible choices with fabrics though so didn't want to add it to your flickr group because it's ugly! However if you want a peek at the whole disaster it's at http://lempobee.blogspot.com/2011/06/mid-level-fails-what-do-you-do.html
