Loulouthi Tiles {Fabric}

for Loulouthi Tiles Quilt!

It's here-errrrr! My choices for the large-sized Loulouthi Tiles quilt have arrived. And, well, I'm just a little excited.

These are the fabrics that make up the smaller tiles:

What, you can't see them well enough?

I hope you'll be joining me for a Loulouthi Tiles quilt, in Loulouthi by Anna Maria Horner or using large scale prints of your choice! You can find details on quilt design here, as well as several versions to choose from.  Custom Loulouthi Tiles fabric bundles are available at Sew Love Fabrics, Marmalade Fabrics and Whipstitch.  Hopefully, you'll be receiving your fabrics soon too, because I'll be cutting next week!

For now, let's prewash these beauties.  I always, always, always prewash because I like to know that all my fabrics are (mostly) chemical-free and preshrunk.  For detailed prewashing instructions check out this post in last year's "Stitch Your Life" series for those getting started with sewing.  By the way, if you have any suggestions of essential "get started" topics that you'd like me to cover, I'm thinking of adding to my Stitch Your Life series this summer.  Let me know!!!

binding up Rainbow Craze

Alrighty, I'm going to go bind up Rainbow Craze.  It's high time this one was finished!

  3. I have been sewing with Loulouthi as well! Forget everything I said about being unsure of a few of the prints -- I am in LOVE! And have already placed an order for more.

    What is this Rainbow Craze quilt -- did I miss something? I'll assume it is for do.Good. Stitches.

  4. Drooling on my keyboard! I LOVE the Loulouthi fabrics--have some in my stash, and some more that will become little girl dresses.

    Your binding choice for the rainbow tiles quilt is INSPIRED!
    Perfect. Love it.

  5. Maureen - Yes, the Rainbow Craze quilt is for the Faith circle of do. Good Stitches. I worked on it earlier in May and had to set it aside for some deadlines. It's that quilt with lots of different rainbow blocks that was a doozy to piece! I'm liking it more and more now that it's almost finished.

  6. They look gorgeous! Very inspiring!
    I'm keen to join in and use this design (simple yet effective, perfect!).
    I haven't got Loulouthi yet due to a promise to myself to use up a lot of my stash before buying anymore fabric. Particularly painful but a good lesson in patience when such beautiful fabric has just come out!
    So I'm going to use Garden Party instead which i'm excited about. Just need to decide on the combination...
