April Favorites {Blogger's Pillow Party}

Ok, I'm exhausted.  So many pillows, so much creativity... however to choose?  There's no way I can choose favorites based on "most impressive work" or "most creative idea."  I'm in no place to judge such things!  Instead, I'm going to show you my nine favorites.  As in, 9 pillows from the April party that I'd like to steal for my home!

Watch out ladies!

April Favorites {Blogger's Pillow Party}

1.  Lemonade by Erica's Essential Suchness
2.  Yo-yo Rosettes by the story of Kat
3.  Scrappy Hexagon by Little Miss MK
4.  Opposing Triangle Pillow from Sew Katie Did
5.  Bubbly in Nicey Jane by  Mommy's Nap Time
6.  Kaleidoscope from made During Quiet Time
7.  Color Path from Sew Homegrown
8.  In the Mood for Lime by Project Town
9.  Pineapple Pillow by Splendor Falls

The good news is that Malka, our judge this time around, can choose any entry - she's not limited to my favorites here.  Malka is one creative, innovative lady.  Look out for her to post the winner at A Stitch in Dye before the end of the month!  I'm going to be completely jealous of whomever wins those Kona solids...

Since we're wrapping up Blogger's Pillow Party this week, I want to extend thanks to the judges and fabric shops who gave freely to the online community to help me put on this event.

To our judges - Anna of Noodlehead, Rita of Red Pepper Quilts, Aneela of Comfort Stitching and Malka of A Stitch in Dye - we really appreciate your time and input!  And thank-you for keeping up such inspiring blogs.

To our fabric stores - Sew Love Fabrics, Fresh Squeezed Fabrics, Whipstitch and Sew Fresh Fabrics - a big thanks for donating fabulous fabric prizes!  You made this event that much more fun!

And finally, thanks to everyone who participated by entering a pillow!

Looking for more pillow inspiration?  If you missed them, here are links to March favorites, February favorites, and January favorites.  And you can see all the pillows entered into all 4 months of Pillow Parties right here

So, which pillow is your ultimate favorite (or your favorite this month, if that's just too hard!)?  Just curious.

  4. There were so many fabulous entries this month! I do not envy Malka's decision one bit. Your favorites are all really fun. I love the hexagon pillow from Little Miss MK, and I also love the yo-yo pillow from the story of Kat. Thanks again for hosting the pillow party these past few months!

  5. They are all gorgeous but In The Mood for Lime? Yes, please! That itty bitty teeny tiny nine patch is to die for. I would so buy that pillow if it were for sale...
    Erica's Essential Suchness is second on my list.

  13. Your picks are really pretty. I am sad that this is the last pillow party. I have yet to make a pillow and have enjoyed looking at all the entries. I hope someone else will pick up where you are leaving off.

  17. Thanks for liking mine! It's already on it's way to it's new home... you'll have to fight my cousin and her still not yet born baby for it (obviously babies need pillows in woomb right?)

    I've had a lot of fun watching alone and joining in this pillow party, thanks for hosting!! I don't think I could pick a favorite out of all the lovely ones entered!!

  18. Ack! I am so flattered that you chose mine as one of your faves! I saw so many lovely pillows in the queue; it had to be hard to pick!

  19. Wow, 4, 7 and 9 are my faves! All so different but fantastic in their own right!

  20. I like the scrappy hexie. I saw a tutorial yesterday for making a spider web block and this pillow reminds me of that.

  21. My favorites of your favorites are Kaleidoscope - because of the asymmetrical color placement in a typically symmetrical pattern, and the Opposing Triangle Pillow also for it's use of asymmetry/symmetry.

  22. So are the pillow parties over forever or will there be one for May? Please tell me there'll be on for May! I had a pillow to enter for April but because of the tornados we lost power and I wasn't able to get my post up. =( BUT! I am so very thankful that all we lost is power and that I still have my home, my family and my pillow!

  23. I am so sorry to hear that! Glad you're ok! I don't have any plans to organize another pillow party and nothing is planned for May. Darn! Please fill free to add yours to the flickr group though, if you do flickr.

  24. How hard to choose one as they are all lovely. But perhaps "Yo-yo Rosettes" is my absolute favourite although I would be happy to receive any one of this great selection.
