This week Brandon and I are heading to Atlanta to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I'm super-excited and, well, maybe just a little concerned about getting everything done before we go. So, I think a list is in order. A list of what I have for you this week:
* a giveaway! Yep, not sure which day, but it's a good, practical one.
* a stashing and a welcome to my newest sponsor, Down Shadow Lane.
* a Bottled Rainbow Block. I'm not sure which color I'll do next... This block (snapshot below) has me dreaming of plum.
* a quilt pattern. I finished Brick House today! Now, just a few finishing touches on the pattern...
* a photo tour of my very first visit to a real, live modern quilt shop - Whipstitch of Atlanta.

Ok, that sounds good! I like it - hope you do too! So, I'll just plug away at this and see you in the morning.
Blessings!
Rachel

Happy 10th Anniversary to you both! Safe travels....

ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! Enjoy your trip...and I love, love, love Downshadow Lane!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Atlanta is a great fun city, enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteLove your block it's incredible. I need to get started on mine but this fool thing about clearing off my design wall keeps me from it.
Happy Anniversary. Hubby and I reach 7 years this July. I'm planning on celebrating by taking him to the craft & quilt fair in Sydney :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! Have a wonderful, safe trip :)
ReplyDeleteWe went to Atlanta for our last anniversary- and went to Whipstitch, too! You should call ahead and see if they have any classes lined up!! There's a resturant/micro-brewery a couple doors down from there that I TOTALLY recommend (I think I had some fabulous fried green tomatoe and goat cheese burger?). Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the quilt shop! Sounds like a great way to celebrate an anniversary to me. ;)
ReplyDeleteI have a horrible cold as well. It's no fun!!
Happy Anniversary!!! :) Good luck getting things done. I'm up because I also have a miserable cold. Hope you're feeling way better!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! I hope the lovely weather we had this weekend holds for your celebration. I hope you enjoy Atlanta, you may also want to visit Intown Quilters, they have a wonderful selection of Kaffe Fassett (the largest I've ever seen) as well as batiks and Japanese fabrics.
ReplyDeleteLaura - Thanks for the heads up! Yes, I'd love to take a class, but my husband says "no way!" Ah well, I probably could use a break from sewing, if only mentally. I'm really looking forward to all the good food!
ReplyDeleteDanielle - thanks for the tip on Intown Quilters. I'd love to see some Kaffe Fassett!
Happy Anniversary! Enjoy your trip.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! My husband is always trying to get me to "write it down"!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! I live in the metro Atlanta area and I want to recommend another quilt store to you. Intown Quilters is FABULOUS! It's my favorite brick & mortar store here in Atlanta. Whipstitch is great but just in case you get a chance to visit another store Intown Quilters is hard to beat!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary and welcome to Atlanta!
ReplyDeleteYEAH! Just ordered my fat quarters from Whipstitch on Etsy! Can't wait to start your quilt along! I would love to see all of the rainbow bottle blog posts in one place (as I am going to be a week or so behind now!) and have no idea how you are going to attach the back! LOVE your blog! Thank you for such a fun project! :)
ReplyDeleteCherie
