You make my day. You being here, hanging out, posting your thoughts and playing along has added this new dimension of fun-ness to my everyday that makes me so very, gushingly thankful!
Where was I a year ago? No blog. No Flickr. Not even a quilt in sight.
My goodness... things have changed!

2010 has been incredible. Your blogs, your comments, your books and your friendships have been instrumental in making it so. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!

Rachel

Okay, how did I not realize you weren't blogging a year ago? You do so much, from organizing do.Good Stitches, tutorials, etc. I'm always so inspired by the things you make.

It is amazing what changes a year can bring, isn't it? I could have written the second paragraph of your post myself! Now, not only am I blogging, but I'm finding new friends and fabulous inspiration on blogs, and I'm making quilts like crazy! Thanks for all your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWow! I've only just finished my first quilt. I hope I can have something just as amazing as you do at the end of the next year. I love seeing what you create, thanks for sharing!!!

ReplyDeleteJust one year? Holy crap! But congrats on a beautifully productive year - here's to more of the same in 2011.
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda the same - got a sewing machine for my 40th bday just before christmas 09 and since then have taken up quilting and bag making and am about to try to start making clothes. I'm not as prolific as you (inherent laziness!) and I find your blog inspirational. I'm glad you're doing what you're doing - keep up the good work!
ReplyDeletesuch beauty and creativity in just a year? amazing...bet it was one of your favorite years ever!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you joined the blogosphere! And so happy to be part of the do.Good Stitches!! Thanks and Happy New Year to you!

ReplyDeleteWooooow. Really? Not even a quilt in sight last year??? I *was* gonna enter into your pillow party, but now I'm kind of intimidated. You did that Tree pillow in the middle? It's so awesome! Go you, and I will definitely still enter the pillow party, but I'm still intimidated!
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel...you are such a huge inspiration...I listed you in another blog of mine...I can't wait to make your colorbrick quilt this year!

Hi, Rachel! I only recently found your blog and am so pleased to have added you to my regular morning reading. I love your style and spirit. And today you introduced me to a great find: BetterWorldBooks. Pure serendipity as I clicked back through your posts on the Alabama Chanin inspiration for your really cute skirts. Thanks for leading me to a new opportunity to do some good and have some fun.
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes for 2011!
