{Something} for me

When's the last time you made something for yourself?  Not even for your family, but for yourself?  I know, I know...

in Little Folks Flannel

I've always wanted to own Coloring Garden in jewel from Anna Maria Horner's Little Folks collection.  The soft cotton flannel version is incredible.  I'd like to buy yards and yards to back baby quilts.  Only I'm not planning on making bunches of baby quilts.  Hmm.  Well, I am certain the yards would come in useful, right?

Pajama Pants from Sewn Spaces

These pajama pants came to be with surprising ease from a pattern included in Joel Dewberry's Sewn Spaces.   I finished them last night and slipped them right on. And, they actually fit!

in comfort

Perfect for Saturday morning sewing too.  Aria and I spent the morning puttering around making October bee blocks for do. Good Stitches.  I taught her to iron yesterday and she also likes using the seam ripper, so she's actually helping a lot.  Crossing my fingers that this lasts!

Saturday morning sewing

Wishing you a restful and fruitful weekend.

  4. I did make myself a dress a few months ago. That was it. Everything else I make ends up being for other people.

Although I have to say, those pj's look mighty tempting...I love me some good jammies. :)

  6. I have been sewing for a couple years. In all that time I never ever made anything for myself. Last week I made the Everything Bag from Weekend Sewing. At first I wasn't crazy about it. However, I hung it on my sewing desk chair and fell in love. It may not ever get used when going out. It looks great just hanging there and holding all my fabric scraps.

I love your pajamas. I may have to make a pair. I also was very excited to remember I had enough fat quarters from a year ago to join the quilt-a-long. It even matches my living room.

  7. Welcome, Misty! I'd love to see your Everything Bag. The next "me" item on my list is a purse in Garden Party. I can't wait!

  14. I googled the fabric to see if it really was as pretty as the swatch appeared online. Wow! Your new jammie pants are cute and that fabric is worth hunting.
